Lacuna Method - Fungal Nail Treatment

Fungal nail infections can be difficult to treat effectively as many at-home treatments are not absorbed much deeper than the surface of the nail. If left untreated, fungal nail infections can spread to other toes and can also be passed on to other people, so it’s vital to catch them early on and to target them with an effective solution.

The Lacuna Method works differently in that the clinician creates tiny micro holes in the nail to help active ingredients penetrate deeper into the nail bed and get to work where they’re needed most. As with most fungal nail treatments this may require repeat visits (on average every 6 weeks) and patients will need to apply the Lamisil treatment solution at home as well. Success rates tend to be much higher than using topical applications, although an affected nail can still take up to 18 months to heal and grow out fully.
